NSHMBA hosts its NSHMBA Gala & Brillante Awards annually in honor of individuals who have made outstanding contributions to improve the educational, economic and social well being of the Hispanic community.  This prestigious event is an evening of celebration to recognize excellence, showcase milestones, highlight the year’s achievements and present leaders who have contributed to this cause.

 

Brillante Awards will be presented in each of the five categories listed below. Nominations are open through June 30th and submission of candidates who have gone above and beyond to promote the Hispanic Community are welcome. Nominations can be made by completing the information in the form below.

2015 BRILLANTE AWARD CATEGORIES

  • Corporate / Government Excellence Award

    This award recognizes a corporate and government NSHMBA partner who has a proven track record of success in the recruitment and retention of a diverse workforce, including diversity at the executive level. This corporation/government agency supports the NSHMBA mission and supports educational initiatives that impact the community they serve.

  • Education Excellence Award

    This recognition is presented to a higher education staff member or institution that advocates on behalf of diverse communities and students. The candidate must have a successful track record of educational programs that encourage and prepare Hispanics for advanced academic, career and leadership opportunities.

  • Entrepreneur Excellence Award

    As an entrepreneur, this candidate exemplifies Hispanic leadership through his or her drive to succeed in business. He or she also steps forward as a proponent for educational and community initiatives that assist Hispanics to further their academic and professional pursuits. The candidate also advocates in support of NSHMBA’s mission and initiatives.

  • Military Excellence Award

    Established to salute the patriotism and cultural value of those who serve in the armed forces, this award recognizes and honors a Hispanic hero for his or her commitment, loyalty and service to our country.

  • NSHMBA Member Excellence Award

    The recipient of this award exemplifies Hispanic leadership through significant drive and success. The candidate also stands out as one who promotes educational and community collaborations that empower Hispanics to pursue academic and professional heights. This individual also advocates in support of NSHMBA’s mission and initiatives.
